Upper Back (50 hours of CE credits)
Advanced Bodywork for the Upper Body is a hands-on practical course focused on understanding the biomechanics of the upper body and treating its disorders. Intended for professionals and recent massage therapy graduates, this 50-hour Continuing Education course will provide students with personal attention and hours of actual hands-on experience. Topics to be covered include: advanced kneading pressure techniques on the head, neck, shoulder and arm; working on their respective Yin and Yang channels based on Traditional Chinese Medicine theory; identifying and understanding the interdependent connection to other joints; and applying stretching and manipulating techniques to correct these disorders. Special attention will be given to the 5 hours of personal supervised clinical practice, where students will be demonstrating evaluation and treatment plan.
Lower Back (50 hours of CE credits)
Advanced Bodywork for the Lower Body is a hands-on practical course focused on understanding the biomechanics of the lower body and treating its disorders. Intended for professionals and recent massage therapy graduates, this 50-hour Continuing Education course will provide students with personal attention and hours of actual hands-on experience. Topics to be covered include: advanced kneading and pressure techniques on the lower back and legs, working on their respective Yin and Yang channels based on Traditional Chinese Medicine theory; identifying and analyzing disorders related to joint biomechanics and understanding the interdependent connection to other joints; and applying stretching and manipulating techniques to correct those disorders. Special attention will be given to the 5 hours of personal supervised clinical practice, where students will be demonstrating evaluation and treatment plan.
